Dr. Rose M. Gathungu

Research Scientist, Harvard University, Boston

I'm an analytical chemist in the department of Medicine, Division of Sleep and Circadian Disorders at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School. In addition to science I am also interested in politics and the political process.

I am the secretary of an organization called the called the African council (TAC) whose goal is to strengthen the African voice in Massachusetts through civic engagement in order to advocate and advance the needs of the African community.

Since 2010, I have also volunteered in various political campaigns (both local and statewide).

I received my Ph.D in Chemistry from Northeastern University in April 2012 and her B.Sc in Biotechnology with a minor in Chemistry from Worcester State University.
