Prior to founding Fridman Law Group in 2004, Iliya was an associate at DeForest & Duer (now a part of Anderson Kill & Olick) where he worked on a wide array of complex legal issues facing technology and new media companies, including venture capital transactions and intellectual property protection and licensing. Admitted to the New York bar in 1999, Iliya is also a member of the Intellectual Property Law Section of the New York State Bar Association, and the Licensing Executives Society. Iliya earned his B.A. in Philosophy from Connecticut College and J.D. from Fordham University School of Law. Born and raised in Moscow, Iliya is fluent in Russian.
